We are a Church on the move - a community committed to make way for the River of God.

According to Lifeway’s 2022 research study, 84% of people say their church encourages every adult to serve people not affiliated with their church.

86% of people say they want to serve people not affiliated with their church in hopes of sharing the gospel.

Despite the desire to serve outside of specific church communities, 2 in 3 people (66%) have not followed through on service opportunities outside of their own church.

While Gen-Z and Millennial churchgoers are more likely to express a desire to serve people in their community not affiliated with their respective churches (91%), the oldest churchgoers (65+) are more likely to have actually done it (40%).

The disparity between these numbers gets even more staggering when broken down by denomination, ethnicity, and even church attendance.

There is a clear disconnect between what we as the Church are saying we want to see and what we are willing to put action towards.

We seek to close that gap by empowering the Church—with all of its generational, demographic, and denominational variance—to actively make way for the life-giving River of God in our cities (John 7:38).

We seek to refresh the Church through citywide, community nights of worship, retreats, relational gatherings—all stemming from the place of beholding the beauty of Jesus, while the radiance of His face illuminates His world and the people that dwell in it (Acts 3:20, Ephesians 4:16).

We seek to equip the Body of Christ through Biblically-based training, workshops, conferences—curated to ignite fresh vision for what’s in our hearts and hands (Matthew 25:14-29)

We seek to mobilize believers through worship outreaches, partnerships with ministries, and collaborative efforts with city leaders—aimed to see the presence of God break stereotypes and narratives as His glory rests on entire regions (Proverbs 11:25, Ezekiel 47:1-12)

We seek to plant missional church communities and prayer rooms, making room for the Holy Spirit to unite congregations with the ultimate goal of God the Father being glorified through Jesus the Son.

What we believe:

WTRWAY affirms the content of the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Lusanne Covenant Statement of Faith.

We believe that all believers are meant to be conduits of the presence of God, the Word of God, and the Spirit of God, overflowing with His life wherever they go (John 7:38).

We believe that creativity exists for the express purpose of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covering the earth (Habakkuk 2:14), and that as such, it should be viewed and experienced through the lens of the glory of the Lord.

We believe that the Church is designed to be one family with various expressions and communities, and that unity in the Church is the hard evidence to the world that Jesus is everything He says He is (John 17:21-23)

our core scriptures

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water" [John 7:38]

"The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." [Proverbs 11:25]
